2023 Meeting is LIVE and In-Person at Skamania Lodge!
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
We are thrilled to announce that our 2023 Northwest Society for Colon and Rectal Surgery meeting will be held at Skamania Lodge in the beautiful Columbia Gorge, just over the Oregon border in Stevenson, Washington, July 19-22, 2023.
The Gorge is world famous for parasailing, hiking, kayaking, and stand up paddle boarding. The lodge is a stone’s throw from the mighty Pacific Crest Trail, as well as to gorgeous waterfalls and excellent breweries. It’s a stunning 45 minute drive from the Portland International Airport, and we are confident it will provide the quintessential Pacific Northwest family-friendly summer adventure.
Despite the ongoing stresses of COVID, many of you were able to reconnect at our 2022 meeting in Sun Valley, Idaho. We are excited to do so again in person.
We hope to continue the Society’s reputation of putting on educational, informative, innovative, and collegial conferences. Our theme for this meeting is mentorship and we plan for some inspiring female guest speakers. More details to come.
We hope to have a wide range of attendees in terms of years in training or practice, as well as geographic and practice settings.
The program chair this year is Dr. Amanda Hayman from the Oregon Clinic, based at Providence Portland Medical Center, and our President is Dr. Kim Lu, from OHSU, both in Portland, Oregon. This is truly our favorite conference, so we hope to live up to your expectations.
Sincerely,
Amanda Hayman, Program Chair
Kim Lu, President
